Larry – When it comes to the bike business, Larry is pretty much omniscient. Co-owning Scott’s Cycles and Fitness since 1965, he has had experience with nearly every style, make, and model of bike in the industry. Whether it’s an old Schwinn, a tandem, a recumbent, or a new fancy carbon fiber bike, Larry can tell you all about it, then fix it, and then ride it like a pro.
John - Enjoy riding the Monster Cookie Metric Century? Thank John next time you see him, as it was he and his brother Hersh that first started this annual event. John has an unequaled enthusiasm for riding bikes that began during the 70’s. Since then, he has been advocating bicycle safety, even teaching these concepts to the local youth who attend the Cautious Kids safety program. One more thing about John: he can work magic on any Brooks saddle, making it the most comfortable seat imaginable.
Steve – He’s the man you want to talk to if you are looking for a new bike. Steve knows what’s fast, and he knows what’s comfortable; crazy enough he also knows what’s both fast and comfortable at the same time. Co-owning Scott’s Cycles and Fitness with Larry, Steve will take the time to find you the right bike, and then he’ll fit you to it to make sure that you will have nothing but a pleasurable riding experience.
James - Well...he’s James; that’s almost all we can say. Mountain biking, road riding, or cyclocross racing, James has been there and done that. Young and energetic, James knows his stuff and is more than willing to help you out with your bicycle needs. If you have a question about what color handlebar tape, bottle cage, or tires you should put on your bike, ask James he’s a pro at matching bike parts.
Loren – Keep the rubber side down - Loren doesn’t understand this concept. He likes to experiment with how high he can get a bike off the ground. Sure he enjoys the open road and is knowledgeable about this area of cycling, however, he is at “home” in the woods of Falls City and Silver Creek riding his mountain bike. Bicycling aside; if you feel that your car would look great covered with colored Post-It notes, let him know and he’ll help you out...just like he helped James out.
